HOT GEAR

Your Warm Weather Gear Guide

Summer has officially arrived, which for many runners means it's time to start thinking about fall races (IYKYK). Summer is the season for long runs, training for goal races, kicking up the tempo, and spending time outdoors. Whether you're hitting the trails or pounding the pavement, preparing with the right gear is essential for staying safe and comfortable as the temperature rises.

While running during cooler hours is ideal, being prepared for hot weather is crucial. Dehydration and heat-related illness are REAL risks when working out in the heat. From hats to hydration packs, having the right attire and equipment for hot weather running can make a significant difference.

After extensive personal testing, we've curated our top “hot gear” picks. We've found items that not only keep you cool, but also protect you from the sun, prevent chafing, and keep you safer during sweltering heat.

Explore our tailored recommendations and share with us your favorite gear as well as your burning heat-related questions!

The pocket in the back is large enough to store most phones securely (and comfortably). We’ve tested this up to marathon distance—our phones stayed nestled between our shoulder blades without chaffing! The bra also has two pockets on the sides, perfect for stashing small essentials like keys, credit cards, or gels. The material is moisture-wicking and breathable, keeping you dry and comfortable during runs.
